I’ve always been drawn to water. Growing up in the midwest, I spent many hours fishing for trout in the small streams near my home. After moving to the Pacific Northwest, with its tall peaks and glacially-fed rivers, I was introduced to whitewater kayaking by my wife. I quickly learned that kayaking is an unparalleled way to explore some amazingly beautiful places that are otherwise very difficult to see, and it is a great feeling to successfully run a hard rapid. Lately, we have been having a great time discovering how terrible we are at surfing. It is incredible to watch a good surfer carve up a wave. Someday! These images are mostly from the rivers, creeks, and coasts near my home.
